The Law Firm exerts efforts to ensure that personal data is processed accurately, fairly and lawfully, exclusively for the purposes, for which it was collected, that personal data is processed following expressive and transparent principles and requirements of personal data processing established in legal acts.

The Law Firm does not disclose your personal data to third parties without your prior consent, with the exception of the cases described below.

 

We can transfer your data to third parties to process, who help us in carrying out our activities – data processors. Such persons may be website developers and administrators, suppliers and administrators of database software, providers of data centre, hosting and cloud services, companies creating, providing, supporting and developing software, companies providing information technology infrastructure services, companies providing communications services, etc. In every case, the data provided to a data processor is limited to the extent needed for fulfilment of a specific assignment or provision of a specific service.

 
Our contracted data processors can process your personal data exclusively according to our instructions. Besides, they must ensure your data security according to the effective legal acts and written agreements with us.

The Law Firm owns and opeartes Facebook and LinkedIn social media accounts. Certain relationships with social media managers are covered by Article 26 (1) of the BDAR (Joint Controllers).

 

All information you provide to us through social media (including messages, use of the Like and Follow boxes, and other communications) is controlled by the social network manager.

 

As an administrator for Law Firm’s Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, we make the appropriate settings based on our target audience and our performance management and promotion goals. Manager of the  social network while providing the Law Firm with the ability to create and manage an account on a social network may limit the ability to change certain key settings, and thus we cannot influence the information the social network manager will collect when you create an account on the social network.

 

All such settings, whether selected by the Law Firm or by the social network manager, may affect the processing of your personal data when using social media, visiting a Law Firm’s account, or reading Law Firm’s messages on the social media network. Even if you only look at our posts on social media, the social network manager may receive certain personal information, such as what device device you use and what your IP address is.

 

As a general rule, your personal information (even if it is collected through our additional account settings) will be processed by the social network manager for purposes set by the social network manager in accordance with the social network manager’s privacy policy. Request examination procedure

 

To protect your and other persons’ data from unlawful disclosure, upon your request to provide data or exercise your other rights, we will have to verify your identity. For this purpose you may be requested to give your name, surname, email address, phone number of other data and check if your provided data is identical to the appropriate data. If verification procedure fails (e.g., your provided data differs from the data held by us), we will have to declare that you are not proper Data subject and will have to reject your request. In such event, you may visit the office of the Law Firm and upon presentation of an identification document, submit your request in writing.

 
Upon receipt of your request to exercise any of your rights and having passed the above-mentioned verification procedure, we assume an obligation, without any unreasonably delay, but in no event later than within one month from the day of receipt of your request and completion of verification procedure, to provide you with information about actions taken by us under your request. Depending on complexity and number of requests, we have the right to prolong one month’s period for two additional months, giving you a notice before the end of the first month and specifying the reasons for such prolongation.

 
If your request is submitted via electronic means, our reply will be sent also by electronic means, unless it is impossible (e.g. because of too big volume of information) or if you request for reply by any other means.
 
We will reject your request with a reasoned reply once the circumstances set forth in legal acts are established, by informing you in writing.
